The Full Story

John Costellow, the founder of Smile Time Studios, has been passionate about photography and filmmaking since childhood. Starting in 2016, John honed his skills behind the camera, creating short films, YouTube videos, and mini documentaries. His dedication led him to the Nashville Film Institute, where he graduated and began pursuing a career in film.

During his time at film school, John worked as a camera operator on the music video for "Hats" by Malaku and took on roles as a dolly puller, grip, and electric for Teddy Rose's music video. His professional journey began as a sound operator for the short film "The Demise of Roger Ralllins," an entry in the 2019 Nashville 48 Hour Film Project.

John's extensive experience and unwavering passion for film and video production form the foundation of Smile Time Studios, where we capture moments and craft stories with creativity and professionalism.
